Cash van robbery leads to Moscow policeman
    Raleigh Times
    Wednesday 28th July, 2010

In Russia, a police officer has been arrested after a deadly attack allegedly perpetrated with a homeless man and a guard on a Russian cash van.

The crime involved the execution of two guards travelling in the van.

The attack occurred in the centre of the Russian capital Moscow and involved money belonging to one of Russia's largest banks.

A private security firm was carrying the cash when the accomplice guard allegedly shot his two colleagues during the robbery.

But the 27-year-old guard was also murdered when his so-called partners decided to eliminate him from his share of the loot.

The two men attracted attention after using some of the money from the robbery to purchase luxury cars and holiday houses.

The police officer and the homeless man are now in custody.
